Infrapont Economic Consulting was established in 1998 with the goal of creating a professional team specialised in regulatory and competition economics. At the outset, the primary activity of the company was economic consulting and analysis in the telecommunications and energy industries in the era of deregulation. Our scope of activity then widened gradually and continuously, extending to other network industries and economic analysis in competition cases.

Infrapont was deeply involved in the design and preparation of the Hungarian Communications Acts in 2001, 2003 and 2011, the implementation of the current telecom regulatory framework and the design of many mobile spectrum tender processes in Hungary. The company also contributed economic analysis to several regulatory inquiries and competition law cases, took part in strategic planning projects for companies and forecasting and market analysis projects as well.

The primary activity of the company is consulting and research concerning economic questions related to competition and regulation in various industries. We aspire to serve our clients at the highest professional level with our work. Our present and former clients include both private companies and state authorities, in Hungary as well as internationally.

Depending on the various competences required by a project, we also cooperate with law firms and other specialist consulting companies.
